In response to the distortion and destruction of natural God-given charism and vocations, and thus the undermining of Christian vocations (as grace builds upon nature) it is necessary to be most specific in the enunciation of these vocations and most intentional in their inculcation. Building upon the natural anthropological principles and dynamics of psychomoralitics, the ethos theology of crucialism promotes seven essential human & Christian vocational states. These are:
NATURAL SUPERNATURAL
1. Imago Dei Vocation 4. Crucial Christian Vocation
2. Incarnational Vocation 5. Ecclesial Vocation
3. Familial Vocation 6. Particular Christian Vocation
7. Sociopolitical Vocation
The first three vocational states, Imago Dei (or Psychomoral), Incarnational, and Familial are of nature and apply to all men. The next three vocational states, Crucial Christian Vocation, Ecclesial Vocation, and Particular Christian are of supernature and apply to Christians. The Last vocational State is both of the secular and divine order.
Third millennium man's remove from natural law, prideful subjectivity, and absurd intellectual orientation has resulted in a technarcistic ethos that distorts or destroys natural God-given charisms and vocations, and thus gravely undermines Christian vocations (as grace builds upon nature). As such, a remedying Christian ethos must necessarily be most specific in the enunciation of these natural and Christian vocations and most intentional in their inculcation.
